Magnetic field tester Rotor-Check 400

Test apparatus for measurement of magnetic field strength curve of rotors

Magnetic field tester Rotor-Check 400

Rotor-Check 400 is a practical testing device used to check the magnetic field strength curve of a rotor. The device and measuring probe connect directly to a Windows PC via USB. It is an ideal solution for precise magnetic field measurement and analysis.

With the Rotor-Check 400, you can precisely determine numerous parameters of a magnetic rotor.

  • Magnet quality and magnetization
  • Assembly errors in the lamination stack
  • The effects of inhomogeneity in the laminated core
  • The position of the lamination stack relative to the shaft
  • Stray field magnetization
  • Local and global pole peaks
  • Flux density at the pole center
  • Pole width
  • Pole misalignment
  • Pole comparison

The high-resolution, precise stepper motor can rotate the rotor through 360° in seconds. Using the free RotorCheck software, you can record an accurate curve of the magnetic field strength and angle, then evaluate it statistically. The measuring probe is kept at a consistent distance from the rotor using a height-adjustable mounting device. This ensures comparable magnetic measurements during rotation and a precise magnetic field strength across the entire rotor path.

The rotor shaft can be up to 13 mm thick. The measuring probe is adjustable up to 12 cm, allowing for flexible handling of different rotor sizes.

With the RotorCheck software, you can record the measured values and export the recorded measurement data as a graph or CSV file. This allows you to evaluate and document the magnetic field measurement in detail, for example, in Microsoft Excel.

Magnetic field tester Rotor-Check 400 with PC

The Rotor-Check 400 comes with a Transversal Flexible Reed Probe LM-MP-PM4-TR . Three holders for the measuring probe are included for axial (e.g., sensor magnet) or radial (e.g., magnetic rotor) measurement. Customers can request adapter sleeves to enable measurement at specific distances from the magnetic rotor.

The Rotor-Check 400 and its associated measuring probe connect to a PC or laptop via two USB ports and do not require an additional external power supply.
