A calibration standard is a reference magnet that allows the user to verify the accuracy of a factory calibrated probe. The exact adjustment to 180 A/cm refers to a specific probe; for all other probes, the value is approximate. If the probe is functioning properly, the reading will be as specified on the appropriate calibration standard. In case of deviations outside the tolerance, a factory calibration of the meter, probe and calibration standard is recommended. |
